A Blog About Nothing

I have been racking my snot filled brain to come up with something worth blogging about. I wanted to find something exciting, or controversial, you know pithy that makes you come back for more. No such luck, trust me I spared any of you who weren't reading what I was twittering about this week.

Have I ever mentioned my need to do things well sometimes gets in the way of doing it at all? Tom quit laughing sometimes I do something well.

I have been burning the candle at both ends trying to get my mother's birthday present made. Version one didn't make it through the buffing stage so I am having to redo. They are cool if I can make them sturdy enough to be jewelry.

Tee ball is taking up a bunch of time lately. It is entirely worth every minute though, the kids are too funny. Zach hit the ball the other night and promptly ran to third base. (It's not like it was his first time, he just got confused.) Well I need to get back to my present making. Bird posted about how she never gives her handmade gifts away. I always ending up spending too much money on supplies. I do usually give them, perhaps to the chagrin of the recipient. Sometimes I cringe when I see them at a later date. How do you feel about homemade gifts?

I think they completely rock! Kidding. Actually, no one has ever given me a handmade gift. I guess that's the way it goes.

Sometimes I dont' have anything to blog about either. I feel like I don't have one decent thing to say.

I haven't posted since April 14th because:
A. I've been really busy.
B. Nothing is really exciting or "pithy" right now.
C. I'm kind of almost over it.

I love homemade gifts 'cause they are sentimental.

Now I'm off to garage-sale the neighborhood. I will appreciate my gas-hog-of-a-truck today. Today she'll earn her keep.

:)

Homemade gifts completely rock!

How about we BOTH stop burning the candle at both ends and go have a drink before I get any more exhausted?

Oh, and excellent use of "plithy". ;)

I love homemade gifts, giving and getting. I used to dislike the stuff my grandmother knit me, mainly because she didn't know me very well and felt compelled to give me something (which she didn't). It was usually a holiday sweater, which has a small, seasonal window of opportunity to wear. Now we are better friends.

I love homemade gifts too. I think the time and energy that goes into a gift is what makes them super special.

I have a love/hate relationship with homemade gifts - love to make them but never feel they're 'good enough'; love getting them but for years my sister gave 1/2 done items because she was 'too busy' then she took them back to finish and I never saw them again...well, they say 'the thought counts' huh??!
Oh, and I loved watching t-ball when Kiki played! Too hilarious!

Some homemade gifts are better than others... but since most of my friends aren't into arts and crafts - I don't half to worry about it much!!! The best kind come from kids though... but I do usually keep the gifts I get and always find a way to incorporate them into something that can be presented at a later date.

Hope you're better ... blogging is hard sometimes... always having to come up with something is hard!! So no worries... we still love ya!!
