Do you find the most beautiful moments in life are sometimes the most mundane?
Every once in a while we are doing the dumbest thing and I just marvel at how great life is.
Yesterday I had one of those moments. The washer quit agitating, which was quite agitating really. So Ben took the bottom off to take a look at it. At one point he had it needed my help to check something out. So here we are on a Saturday afternoon sitting in our hall working on the washer and just hanging out. I couldn't help but think a few years ago, my husband didn't fix anything, much less attempt to. A few years ago I would have been mad, upset and worried about what I was going to do without a washer, since buying a new one right now is not an option. A few years ago this would have been cause for a bunch of drama.
I am so glad our lives changed for the better. It's moments like those, that make me realize how far our faith and marriage have evolved over the last few years. Not that we don't have our moments, because we certainly do, they are just a lot less often. I need to remember and thank God everyday for restoring my family, and making it better than it was before the problems started.

I love those moments! Only I wish I had more time at home with my family to have them. *sigh*
It is weird after the kids--you have these rare moments where it's just you and your spouse and it's quiet and you can TALK. Sometimes I forget that having those moments is even possible.
Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting, it's always nice to meet new people!
I totally know what you're talking about. Your marriage sounds very similar to mine- we have our moments too, but we used to have a lot MORE of them!
I love the "mundane" moments of life. They often mean the most.
I think you were looking at his plumber's crack.
I think we just grow up too. I don't let the small things get me as much as they used to. Kids force you to do that. You'd go nuts if you did.
Monday is the mundane appreciation day. :)
Aww...isn't it wonderful when moments like that happen - smiles! Sometimes it really is the simple things that matter the most.
